Here at Verona Animal Hospital, caring for animals is more than just the job we do – it's our mindset. Along with the many pets and local homeless animals we assist through our office practice, we also branch out into our communities, both near and far, to provide care and veterinary medicine to any animal in need. Recently, this has included helping the numerous animals displaced and injured by hurricane Katrina. Additionally, we provide assistance to neighboring towns in the administration of vaccines when they hold low-cost or free rabies clinics.
We are also proud to be able to assist some truly outstanding animal welfare groups in their work such as St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center (www.sthuberts.org), Aunt Mary's Doghouse (www.auntmarysdoghouse.com), Angels of Animals (www.angelsofanimals.com) and Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter (www.njshelter.org). In certain cases, we have worked in concert with these groups to help place adoptable pets in loving homes. Be sure to visit their websites to learn more about the valuable work these groups perform. (back to The Doctor's Corner ) |
